Juneau Archery Club Youth Shooting Fridays, 6:00 p.m. Each Friday evening there will be three sessions starting on the hour, 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00. Space is limited in each session and is available on a first come - first served basis. Cost per session is $1.00. All youths are invited to come and learn the basics of archery. 789-3422

Hunter Education course, Juneau Indoor Shooting Range, 5670 Montana Creek Road, Friday, Feb. 18, 6-9 p.m. & Saturday, Feb. 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Includes instruction on firearms safety and handling, wildlife conservation and management, game laws and regulations, hunter ethics and hunter responsibility. Successful graduates will gain lifetime hunter education certification recognized throughout North America. Recommended for anybody wanting to take a hunter ed course, and required for anyone under 16 who wishes to hunt waterfowl on the Mendenhall Wetlands State Game Refuge. Evening Masters Swimming starting Tuesday, Feb. 20. Tuesday & Thursday, 6:30-7:30 p.m. The program is designed dto promote and improve the mental and physical well-being of people over 19. All you need to join is the ability to swim crawlstroke and backstroke, plus a desire to improve or maintain your fitness level while having fun. 586-5325.
