Island Relief

A concert by the Juneau arts community in support of the American Red Cross of Alaska to Asia Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund. Thursday, Feb. 10, 7:30pm, Northern Light Church. Music and dance groups from across the community, including:JDHS Theatre (selections from the upcoming musical Once On This Island; Alitap-tap Folkloric Group; Tres Feles (jazz trio); Island Time Polynesian Dance Group; Perseverance Theatre (selections from the upcoming musical The Long Season) $15at the door.A representative from theRed Cross will be sharing their progress working in SE Asia.

Pieces of Life

Musical drama retelling the history of the African American people. Written by Juneauites Michelle Montes and Bridget Easaw, with "Voices of Praise" chorus directed by Sherry Patterson. Auke Bay Bible Church, Saturday, Feb. 12, 2 p.m.

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah!

Juneau Coop Preschool's Annual family concert & fundraiser, Saturday, Feb. 12, 6:30 p.m., Centennial Hall. This year's show includes a musical rendition of "The Three Little Pigs" starring Joyc Parry-Moore accompanied by Heart Strings and JCP Alumni violinists; the preschool teachers leading favorite preschool songs, storytelling, the Go Dad Go Band and Jeff Brown as MC. $5/person, $10/family, kids under 2 free.

Sitka Festival Winter Concert

Sitka Music Festival Alaska Airlines Winter Classics Concert, Saturday, Feb. 12,7:30 p.m. Northern Light Church. Musicians are: Paul Rosenthal, violin; Ik-Hwan Bae, violin; Marcus Thompson, viola; Armen Ksajikian, ; Sungmi Im, piano. Music of Mozart, Enesco and Dvorak. Juneau Pride Chorus

"Rhythm of Life" concert, Friday, Feb. 11, Aldersgate Methodist Church, 7:30 p.m. Pay-as-you-can performance and Saturday, Feb. 12, Resurrection Lutheran Church, 10th and Glacier Avenue, 6:30pm silent auction fundraiser, 7:30pm performance. $10.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Rock musical directed by by David Charles Goyette, and starring Rory Merritt Stitt. Perseverance Theatre performing at the Hangar Ballroom. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 9pm; special midnight performances Friday & Saturday, Feb. 11 & 12. Alcohol free show open to all ages Sunday, Feb. 13, 6 p.m.
