Astronomy class

This class will review core ideas in astronomy and enable you to explore the sky and the cosmos from home, as instructor Rosemary Walling will teach you how to use some online resources.

Walling made a career in physics. She now teaches astronomy as an adjunct for UAS Sitka and volunteers at the Marie Drake Planetarium. Rosemary is also a board member of the Friends of the Marie Drake Planetarium.

There are two class options: four Tuesdays in February, or the Feb. 18-19 weekend course. The class is at Thunder Mountain High School, Room A-11. It costs $40.00, with the fee divided between Community Schools and Marie Drake Planetarium. The class content is aimed for adults but anyone may attend. If you have questions about the content of the clas, email Walling at rosemarywalling@yahoo.com.
