PUBLISHED: 4:58 PM on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 Photo: First-time skiers learn the slopes Naomi Judd Photo Eaglecrest held its 27th Annual Learn to Ski Weekend Feb. 2-3. This free weekend, sponsored by Mendenhall Auto Center and Subaru, gives the opportunity for 45 children in grades 3-5 to partake in an intensive first-time ski weekend filled with lessons and fun on the snowy slopes. Coaches divided the students into six lesson groups with names like, the Salmon, Giraffes or Penguins. Above, Team members from the Penguin group challenge themselves by navigating through the hoops.
