JUNEAU - Former Juneau resident John Leo is back in town this week for two performances of the sex-ed comedy "Peg-ass-us," presented by Pack of Others.
"Peg-ass-us" is written and performed by real-life couple Sophie Nimmannit and John Leo, and directed by Leslie Strongwater.
The show, which intended for mature audiences, premiered on a fringe festival tour in 2008 to Montreal and San Francisco (hosted by the Center for Sex and Culture), where it won "Best Comedy." After a month-long run as Artists-in-Residence at Dixon Place in New York City, Pack of Others has taken "Peg-ass-us" on the road, spending February on tour in the Pacific Northwest with stops in Juneau, Seattle and Portland.
"Peg-ass-us" will be performed in Juneau at 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5 and Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Hangar Ballroom. Tickets are $12-$18 on a sliding scale, available starting at 8 p.m. at the door. For more information and to view a trailer, visit http://www.packofothers.org/.
