John Straley releases book of spring poems, will read, sign books in Juneau

Sitka author John Straley will be in Juneau for a book signing and artist reception Feb. 3, and a reading and book signing Feb. 4.

First, Straley and artist Norm Campbell, who illustrated the cover of Straley’s new book of poetry, “100 Poems of Spring,” will be at AnnieKaill’s for a book signing and artist reception. That event is Friday, Feb. 3 at 4:30 p.m.

Saturday, Straley will be at the Juneau-Douglas City Museum from 4-6 p.m. for “A Haiku Afternoon” sponsored by the Friends of theJuneau Douglas City Museum.

“100 Poems of Spring” is published by Shorefast Editions and is “the first volume in a series of seasonal haiku, reflecting the sea and skyof John’s coastal home,” according to the Facebook event page. More information is at shorefasteditions.com.
