Juneau youth invited to display art in ice cream shop restroom

Coppa’s new program will feature art made by local youth in the restroom. Each month, the ice cream shop will display works from youth artists, along with a larger art opening on each First Friday event.

The first tiny gallery opening is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 3 and will feature works by Cedar Fowler Croteau.

To apply for a monthly show, youth artists must commit to displaying three to six works of art along with an artist’s statement, and email a photo of one of their pieces to marc@coppa.biz. Art pieces must be delivered to Coppa no less than two weeks before the show opening. Local artist Jim Fowler will be volunteering to help young artists hang their pieces in the gallery.
