Throughout the school year, Juneau Rollergirls volunteers through Community Schools to offer an introductory roller skating course. This 10-week class is held on Sundays from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Feb. 10 through April 14. Whether this is your first time on roller skates or just a nice opportunity to rediscover your love of roller skating, there are good times to be had by all those attending this course. No experience necessary - all you need is gear, a can-do attitude and the desire to learn! Open to skaters of all skill levels looking for a workout that develops or refines foundation skating skills. Sessions will include warm up, skill development exercises, open skate, and cool down. Let's have some fun skating together!

Please join volunteers from Juneau Rollergirls, the local women's flat track roller derby league, as they cover the basics of roller skating skill development. This class is also offered as an introductory training opportunity for people who may be interested in skating with the league, so get your roller derby career off on the right foot by signing up for this skill - and confidence-building class.
