Rotarians report on holiday giving

JUNEAU - The Rotary clubs of Juneau participated in a number of giving activities during the recent holiday season, offering both time and funds to their community.

The clubs raised money to adopt families, making sure each received holiday gifts and Christmas feasts. They also contributed to gift giving at the Juneau Pioneer Home. Interact members from Juneau-Douglas High School joined Rotarians to deliver gifts to Pioneer Home residents.

An annual tradition for the clubs is ringing bells for the Salvation Army and collecting donations in kettles housed in key locations around town. Nearly $6,000 was collected in the most recent campaign.
