Diabetes group holds discussion
The Juneau Diabetes Support Group will hold a talk with guest speaker Dr. Robert Weldy Jr. from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the SEARHC-WIC Classroom (first floor of SEARHC Dental Building) as part of its "Learning to Live Healthy With Diabetes" series.

Weldy is a licensed marriage and family therapist and the behavioral health department director for the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Juneau Medical Center. He talk is titled "Diabetes and Your Mental Well-Being: Staying Healthy ABOVE the Brow." He will discuss a possible link between depression and diabetes, how to decrease depressive moods and how to create a family focus for better health.
