The Bartlett Regional Hospital Foundation recently received a Community Grant of $2500 from the Juneau Wal-Mart to help fund the Health Education Resource Center at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

The Health Education Resource Center opened on Nov. 10, 2008 and was put in place to help individuals and families make informed decisions about their health and health care. The Resource Center includes interactive and easy to use computers with touch screen access on a variety of health topics and internet access to health information from trustworthy websites. The Resource Center also offers brochures on a variety of topics as well as information on health events and classes.

The Foundation extended its gratitude to the Juneau WalMart and the enthusiastic employees who helped make the grant possible and to Judy Cernobyl, RN, Patient Education Coordinator in who has diligently worked to bring the Resource Center to life.

The mission of the Resource Center is to provide health education resources to help individuals and families make informed decisions about their health and health care. The Center is located directly off the main entrance, across from the Blue Heron gift shop. Open every day from 8 a.m to 8 p.m.
