Purves hired as HR Officer at Alaska Pacific

Juneau - Lisa Purves has been hired as Alaska Pacific Banks's human resource officer, announced Alaska Pacific Bancshares, Inc. President and CEO Craig E. Dahl.

Purves will oversee personnel policies and procedures, the bank's HR budget, benefits administration, recruitment, new employee orientation, employee recognition programs, and employee training. She is the plan administrator for the bank's 401 (k), Employee Stock Ownership Program, and health and life insurance plans. She also administers the bank's affirmative action program.

Purves grew up in Juneau and earned a BA with an emphasis in humanities and business from Evergreen State College in Washington. She has over 15 years of human resources experience.

Purves began her human resources career at Greens Creek Mine and worked there for five years, until the mine closed in 1993. She then spent nearly 10 years in human resources, primarily in the Pacific Northwest.

"We are pleased to have Lisa join Alaska Pacific Bank," Dahl said. "Her HR experience and skills are top notch, and with her family ties in Juneau and Sitka and her knowledge of Southeast, she is a great asset to the bank."

Alaska Pacific Bank has offices in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka. The bank is a federally-chartered savings bank headquartered in Juneau and is the sole subsidiary of Alaska Pacific Bancshares, Inc.
