Winners of the Hilary Lindh Season Pass Scholarship announced
Eaglecrest Ski Area Board of Directors announces Jamie Paddock, a Montessori 8th grader, and JDHS student Curtis Green-Enix, as the winners of this year's 2007/08 Hilary Lindh Season Pass Scholarships. Paddock, who began skiing at age three, dreams of becoming an Olympic skier. She is a three year veteran of the ski team and has won three ribbons and three medals in her career.

Paddock states, "My future begins here at Eaglecrest, I've made the day, now it's time to make history." Floyd Dryden field trips first exposed Green-Enix to the mountain and this season he wants to tackle the Ptarmingan runs and has a goal of mastering the more difficult West side of Eaglecrest. Both scholarship winners demonstrated strong academic achievement and drive as well as a passion for skiing and the mountain, important selection criteria for three person committee who determined the winners this year. In addition, the selection committee also considers financial need.

In 1992, the Eaglecrest Board of Directors established the Season Pass Scholarship in recognition of Hilary Lindh's silver medal in the 1992 Albertville Winter Games and the hard work she dedicated to downhill ski racing. She won seven National titles, two world championship medals, an Olympic Medal, and three World Cup Victories and is a member of the US Ski Hall Fame. After 13 years on the US Ski Team, Hilary retired.
