Gerrit Dalman, a 1999 Juneau-Douglas High School graduate, was recently deployed to the Middle East. Dalman, a captain in the United States Air Force, joined the "Sandbox Sentries" 964th EAACS as an air battle manager flying the E-3 AWACS Sentry. Dalman graduated from University of Alaska Anchorage and was commissioned ROTC Feb. 2004 and is based out of Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, Okla. He is married to Jennifer Jardel of Palmer.
