Juneau Coast Guard Military & Family Association donates stockings for area disadvantaged children
The Juneau Coast Guard Military & Family Association's (formerly known as the Coast Guard Women's Association) delivered 139 handmade stockings to local Juneau Charities that work closely with families in need.

The making and delivery of handmade stockings is part of their annual "Christmas Stocking for Disadvantaged Children" project.

This year's recipients include St. Vincent DePaul's "Adopt a Family" program, and the A.W.A.R.E. Shelter's annual holiday party. Stockings were handmade by JCGMFA members throughout the summer months from donated material and filled with charitable contributions from local businesses and private individuals. Stockings were made for children in the age range of newborn to teenager.

Stockings were delivered on Dec. 19.
