AE For Capital City Weekly Six canoes along with Support Vessels are making a journey from Metlakatla, British Columbia to Metlakatla, Alaska. A very historical event as this has never been done since our ancestors arrived 126 years ago on Aug. 7, 1887. There are approximately 110 on this journey with the majority all youth from many surrounding villages near Prince Rupert.

Recreating an ancient journey
