AE Capital City Weekly Here we are. The month that makes or breaks you as a true Alaskan. The month that hangs on to winter with such growling force you'd think it was a coastal brownie holding on to a chinook. But there are a couple of things that keep us trudging along, like the promise of the first day of spring (at least in date, if not in weather) and the excitement of an entire month totally dedicated to craft. Yes folks, we are now 11 days into the best month of the year, National Craft Month!

Crafts and celebrations for any day of National Craft Month

There's something to celebrate almost any day in March, and a craft to go along with your celebration. Here are some examples, clockwise from top left: make a Tea Towel Apron on Girl Scout Day, a frozen chocolate banana on Something-On-A-Stick Day, a rubber band ball on the anniversary of the invention of the rubber band and an embroidered pi symbol on Pi Day.
