AE Capital City Weekly JUNEAU - Altering is standard practice in clothing construction. However, Juneau's 9th annual Wearable Art show will be anything but ordinary. The theme for this year's runway show is "Altered State." Even the set will be slightly altered from piece to piece with projected images that directly relate to the model currently on the catwalk.

Wearable Art : Altered State

David Walker and Patricia Hull watch as Micaela Fowler practices modeling Walker's wooden dress for Wearable Art. The dress is made of striped mohogany, birdseye maple, and lacewood. After being shown in Juneau, the piece will travel to be shown and compete in New Zealand.
