The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium announces the hiring of Michele R. Susie, MSN, FNP, as Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Community Health Aide Program Supervisor at the SEARHC Kake Health Center.

For the fourth straight year, the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium is participating on a local team that has earned a spot in the national Healthy Native Communities Fellowship program. This year the winning team is "Peace of Kake," featuring Georgie Reese, Anthony Gastelum and Lori M. Moore.

The 10th annual Honoring Our Veterans potluck dinner takes place at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Kake Community Center.

The Kake Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness on Saturday, Oct. 6, drew 74 participants, including several people attending the Alaska Native Brotherhood/Alaska Native Sisterhood Grand Camp Convention in Kake.
